EASDC’ main Goals?
The EASDC was established with five main goals (The Big Why?)
- To promote the spirit of solidarity and unity as represented by EAC through fair competition.
- To bring secondary school students and teachers together to expose them to international debating styles by facilitating the right kind of training from experienced debaters and adjudicators so that they can continue the culture in their schools.
- To enhance critical thinking and effective communication competence in schools.
- To be a springboard for students to make it to international tournaments by selecting a winning school debate team to represent their schools in international competition.
- To inspire students to discuss and care about historic and current-day issues which take away the focus from them as individuals and promote understanding of the world around them.
